Departure from the hotel to Perito Moreno Glacier, a UNESCO World Heritage designation situated within Los Glaciares National Park some 80 km from El Calafate, driving through typical Patagonian steppe landscape and keeping an eye for Argentino Lake and interesting bird species. Reach Perito Moreno glacier, which extends 30 km (19 mi) long and 5 km (3 mi), and walls that reach up to 60 meters (100-195 feet) in height and ice with depths of 250 to 350 meters (800-1150 feet). The impressive creaking and squealing, with the occasional thunderous roars, is a stark reminder of the glacier’s constant movement. Walk on the trails by the western wall to admire this impressive wonder of nature. After the tour, return to the hotel. National Park entrance fee included.
Today enjoy a full-day adventure of mini trekking over Perito Moreno Glacier. Depart for Bajo de las Sombras Bay around 9 a.m., where you will embark on a catamaran to cross the Rico Arm of Lago Argentino, for a 20-minute sail across the lake, along the south wall of Perito Moreno Glacier. Once at the refuge, you will be welcomed by specialized trekking guides who will offer a brief lecture about glacier behavior and the particularities of the local forest. A short hike through a dense lenga forest will take you to the glacier edge. There, you will be provided special crampons to walk on the ice and will receive instructions about how to walk on the ice. The hike over the glacier, about one hour long, is particularly attractive since it allows you to be in close contact with the millenary ice, its peaks, fissures, small inner lagoons, and deep blue drains. Another highlight is no doubt the excellent view of the lake and the land on the other side of the lake that you can get from the ice surface. Once you are back at the refuge, you will have free time for lunch (box lunch included) fully admiring this amazing wonder of nature, and you will finally cross the lake again and get to the area of the paths in front of the glacier to have a short walk there so as to see the glacier from another viewpoint before returning to El Calafate. Entrance to the National Park included.

It is advisable to take sports clothing, trekking boots or tennis shoes with rubber sole, sweaters, water-proof jackets or raincoats, sunglasses, sun-tan and gloves.

Enjoy a 4-hour private sightseeing tour of Buenos Aires, a cosmopolitan city that reflects the rich heritage of the numerous immigrants that shaped Argentina’s capital. The tour begins at the historic Plaza de Mayo square, the scene of many influential political manifestations. The square is flanked by the Government House, better known as the “Pink House”; the Cabildo (the old City Hall), and the Cathedral. Further south visit the picturesque port neighborhood of La Boca with its famous colorful street “Caminito” and the unique architecture and customs that reflect the influence of the European immigrants, especially Genovese sailors, who settled along these shores at the end of the 19th century. The tour continues towards San Telmo, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Buenos Aires. Settled by immigrants, the neighborhood has preserved most of its architectonic heritage and boasts lovely cobblestone streets lined with colonial houses. Next on the tour are the modern, well-heeled districts of Puerto Madero and Palermo neighborhood with its elegant residences set among large green spaces. The tour concludes in Recoleta, Buenos Aires’ most sophisticated and upscale neighborhood.
Tango Porteño recreates the Golden Age of tango, an Argentine passion that caught global attention for decades even today. The show’s meticulous scenery and costumes create the ultimate framework to transport you to that enchanting time when all of Buenos Aires was about Tango. The show is a travel back in time to the glory days of Buenos Aires when tango was “enjoyed and breathed” in every corner of the city. All the stars of the Golden Age of Tango live together, the great orchestras of Canaro, Fresedo, Piazzolla, De Caro, Gobbi, Biagi, De Angelis, Di Sarli, D´Arienzo, Lomuto, D´Agostino, Troilo and Pugliese developed to their full potential in a wholesome but demanding rivalry and challenged each other at the Chanteclair, Marabú, Tabaris, Tibidabo and many other ballrooms. A truly unforgettable experience.
Transfers included to/from the hotel. Tango lesson included.
Departure from the hotel to Tigre, driving through Buenos Aires vibrant suburbs, such as Olivos, home of the President’s residence, San Isidro, known for its neo-gothic-style Cathedral, artisanal fairs, and cobblestone streets. Tigre is a charming picturesque neighborhood north of the city situated in the Paraná River delta -although colonized in 1580- it was not until the 18th century that people settled in the area. The first inhabitants were smugglers trading illegal goods who took advantage of the many labyrinths of little rivers and isles to hide, evading paying customs taxes. Towards the end of the 19th century, it became a favorite destination for recreation of the high-class of Buenos Aires. The tour includes navigating different rivers, channels, and streams of the Delta, discovering its many isles covered with abundant subtropical vegetation, picturesque houses, rowing and yacht clubs, old residences, and wooden houses built over piles to protect them from constant floods. This makes an ideal day to relax and be in touch with nature, much contrasting with the fast-paced city.
