Detailed description

Day 1
DAY 1: LISBON

Upon arrival, private transfer to Selected Hotel.
1 (one) Double Room - 4 nights of accommodation with Breakfast.

Half Day Morning Private Sidecar Tour — Historic Lisbon

The most characterful way to read a city is from street level, at pace. A private sidecar picks up directly from your hotel, where you’ll meet your guide and choose your position,  seated in the sidecar or riding on the back, before setting off for 3.5 hours through Lisbon’s most storied neighborhoods: the narrow lanes of the historic quarters, the grandeur of Downtown Pombalino, and the monumental sweep of Belém along the riverfront. The route is yours to shape; the guide is there to answer every question along the way.

Drop-off back at your hotel, with the afternoon free to explore the neighborhood, find lunch at your own pace, and let the city settle in.

Half Day Afternoon Private Sunset Sailing on Tagus River, Lisbon

Private transfer from your hotel to the port. A private sailing journey on the Tagus places Lisbon’s most significant landmarks in their full geographical context and at golden hour, the effect is considerable. Board a private sailing vessel for a two-hour journey departing from the Torre de Belém, passing beneath the 25 de Abril Bridge as the sun drops behind it, and rounding back past the commanding silhouette of Cristo Rei toward Terreiro do Paço.

An experienced, English-speaking crew handles everything, leaving nothing to think about but the view. Private transfer back to your hotel.

Note: Boat tours can be cancelled anytime due to weather /sea conditions.

Day 2
DAY 2: LISBON
Full Day Sintra, Cascais & Estoril

Private pick-up from your hotel. Just twenty-five miles from Lisbon lies Sintra a fairy tale brought to life, where lush romantic landscapes, extraordinary palaces, and hidden botanical gardens unfold across a stunning Natural Park. A private driver and English-speaking guide meet you at the hotel lobby for the scenic drive up, with the Moorish Castle and Pena Palace appearing dramatically on the hilltops as you approach.

The morning is devoted to Sintra’s most captivating palaces and estates. A fully guided visit to the National Palace the oldest in the region and a masterpiece of Manueline architecture, sets the tone, with Regaleira, Monserrate, and Pena Palace as additional options depending on time. A stroll through the village’s narrow streets leads to one of its iconic pastry shops for a local treat with coffee or tea, followed by a free-time lunch (not included) with recommendations tailored to your preferences.

The afternoon follows the dramatic Atlantic coastline through the Natural Park, with possible stops at Cabo da Roca the westernmost point of continental Europe the coastal beaches, and the striking Boca do Inferno, before a short walking tour in the charming fishing village of Cascais. The return to Lisbon passes through Estoril, with the option to stop and soak in its storied atmosphere along the way. Private drop-off back at your hotel.

Private vehicle and guide at full disposal for 8 hours.

Day 3
DAY 3: LISBON
Full Day Évora and Monsaraz Tour

Private pick-up from your hotel toward the Alentejo interior, beginning with Évora, an UNESCO World Heritage City since 1986 and one of Portugal’s most extraordinary living museums. Its monuments tell the story of the golden age of Portuguese maritime discovery, each layer of the city intimately connected to the defining moments of the nation’s history. A private English-speaking guide brings it all into focus.

Lunch at leisure in Évora (not included), before continuing to Monsaraz, a medieval hilltop village of rare authenticity, its stone streets and sweeping views over the Alentejo plains entirely unchanged by time. Conquered in 1167 by the knight Giraldo the Fearless, later held by the legendary Templar Knights, the village carries a history that feels almost mythological. From its walls, the vast waters of the Alqueva Dam, the largest artificial lake in Europe stretch across the landscape in silence.

The journey also reveals traces of Arabian heritage, ancient prehistoric megalithic structures, and concludes at Portugal’s largest pottery centre, a place of craft and ceramic tradition reaching back to prehistoric times. Drop-off back at your hotel at the close of the day.

Day 4
DAY 4: LISBON

Free day. A day without an agenda in one of Europe's most walkable capitals.

Follow the cobbled streets of Alfama, lose an hour in the boutiques and cafés of Chiado, or let Bairro Alto unfold at its own unhurried pace. Alternatively, Lisbon's museums offer some of the finest collections in Europe.

Evening Portuguese Cooking Class & Dinner

The day closes at the table, and in the kitchen first. A private transfer brings you to a hands-on cooking class led by trained local chefs, where a complete three-course Portuguese meal takes shape over approximately four hours. Ingredient preparation, traditional cooking methods, and the history behind each dish are woven naturally into the session, alongside local snacks, wine, beer, and soft drinks throughout. The evening ends with dinner, the meal prepared by your own hands.

Seasonal appetizers, a main course of seafood, fish, or meat, and a traditional Portuguese dessert. Digital recipes follow by email, so the experience travels home with you.

Dietary requirements must be communicated at least 48 hours prior to booking. Conducted entirely in English. No culinary experience required. Private transfers included.

Day 5
DAY 5: LISBON - FATIMA

At the appropriate time, private transfer to Luz Charming Houses.
1 (one) Double Room - 2 nights of accommodation with Breakfast.

Full Day Tomar & the Tagus River

Private pick-up at 9:30am from your hotel in Fátima, departing for Tomar, once the Portuguese headquarters of the Knights Templar and one of central Portugal’s most historically charged towns. A guided visit to the remarkably preserved Synagogue of Tomar opens the morning, followed by the Convent of Christ, an UNESCO World Heritage Site whose architecture alone justifies the journey. Lunch at leisure in Tomar (not included), with time to absorb the town at your own pace.

At 3:00pm, the afternoon takes to the water. Board the Ninfa do Tejo, a solar-powered vessel built with Portuguese technology, near-silent on the river and designed for exceptional comfort, for a 1 hour 45-minute private cruise along the Tagus River. The destination is Almourol Castle, one of Portugal’s most dramatically situated medieval fortresses, rising from a small island in the middle of the river. On board, a guided commentary runs alongside a VIP tasting of regional liqueur or wine, served with traditional pastries as the riverbank scenery unfolds in silence.

Private drop-off back at your hotel in Fátima at 5:30pm.

Day 6
DAY 6: FATIMA
Serra de Aire, Fátima & Local Traditions Hike Day Tour

The morning belongs to the Serra de Aire e Candeeiros Natural Park, a remarkable limestone massif where the greatest treasures lie underground. An easy to moderate hike through this unique ecosystem brings the landscape to life: a labyrinth of grottoes and caverns carved by water over millennia, home to 18 species of bats and extraordinary rock formations. Above ground, the landscape tells its own story: traditional dry-stone walls known as chousos, ancient stone shepherd shelters called casinas, and wildflower meadows where up to 35 species of orchids bloom between February and April.

Lunch at Cova da Velha, a restaurant nestled in the heart of the Natural Park, serving honest, traditional Portuguese cooking.

The afternoon turns inward. Relax and enjoy the property’s spa and massage, before a visit to the Museum of the Shrine of Fátima, founded in 1955. Its permanent collection is largely composed of ex-votos: offerings left by anonymous pilgrims and world leaders alike, including the bullet from the 1981 assassination attempt on Pope John Paul II, now set into the precious Crown of Our Lady of Fátima.

Dinner at Luz Houses is recommended to close the evening (not included).

Optional: Fátima Sanctuary Night Tour After dinner, a guided night tour of the Fátima Sanctuary offers a final, contemplative encounter with one of Catholicism’s most significant sites. The evening may include the Candlelight Procession, a luminous tide of faith that has drawn pilgrims from across the world for over a century.

Day 7
DAY 7: FATIMA - HOME

At the appropriate time, private transfer to the international airport for your flight back home.
