Detailed description

Day 1
Buenos Aires

Upon arrival at Buenos Aires airport, private transfer to Mine Boutique Hotel.

Day 2
Buenos Aires
Half Day Buenos Aires Classic City Tour

Enjoy a 4-hour private sightseeing tour of Buenos Aires, a cosmopolitan city that reflects the rich heritage of the numerous immigrants that shaped Argentina’s capital. The tour begins at the historic Plaza de Mayo square, the scene of many influential political manifestations. The square is flanked by the Government House, better known as the “Pink House”; the Cabildo (the old City Hall), and the Cathedral. Further south visit the picturesque port neighborhood of La Boca with its famous colorful street “Caminito” and the unique architecture and customs that reflect the influence of the European immigrants, especially Genovese sailors, who settled along these shores at the end of the 19th century. The tour continues towards San Telmo, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Buenos Aires. Settled by immigrants, the neighborhood has preserved most of its architectonic heritage and boasts lovely cobblestone streets lined with colonial houses. Next on the tour are the modern, well-heeled districts of Puerto Madero and Palermo neighborhood with its elegant residences set among large green spaces. The tour concludes in Recoleta, Buenos Aires’ most sophisticated and upscale neighborhood.

The Argentine Experience – Buenos Aires

The Argentine Experience introduces the best of Argentine cuisine and culture. This is NOT a cooking class, but a fun, interactive, and unique experience for meeting and dining with people from all over the world. An international team of chefs and mixologists is on deck to spoil you and take you through every step of this culinary journey.

Address: Fitz Roy 2110, Palermo Hollywood neighborhood, Buenos Aires.

Wine Cocktail Experience will start the night early at 6:15 PM.

First awaken your senses by exploring the nuances and aromas in Argentina’s flagship wines – Torrentes, Bonarda, and Malbec – and try to identify the 20 different smells in our aroma area.

Next, learn from our resident mixologist how to make, shake, and create three wine-based cocktails with red, white, and rose wines from award-winning wineries, and enjoy three perfectly paired gourmet appetizers to complement them.

Try your hand at making your own cocktail from scratch (optional) with the assistance of our friendly guides, and take home all the recipes for the cocktails and appetizers to recreate for friends and family.

Dinner Experience starts at 8:00 PM.

Choose from gourmet fillings and create your own empanada, learning the traditional ‘repulgue’ technique.  Later, use your imagination in Argentina’s first and only novelty empanada competition. Alongside your creations, enjoy grilled provoleta cheese with sliced chorizo sausage, and homemade chimichurri.

Enjoy what many are claiming to be the very best steak in Argentina, cooked to order and accompanied with velvety mashed potatoes and oven-roasted vegetables. Our top-of-the-line thick-cut fillet steaks have a unique 24-hour preparation method that sets us apart from the rest. Vegetarian, pescetarian, and celiac options are available on request.

Dinner generally ends around 11:00 PM.

Day 3
Buenos Aires
Half Day Tigre & Delta

Departure from the hotel to Tigre, driving through Buenos Aires vibrant suburbs, such as Olivos, home of the President’s residence, San Isidro, known for its neo-gothic-style Cathedral, artisanal fairs, and cobblestone streets. Tigre is a charming picturesque neighborhood north of the city situated in the Paraná River delta -although colonized in 1580- it was not until the 18th century that people settled in the area. The first inhabitants were smugglers trading illegal goods who took advantage of the many labyrinths of little rivers and isles to hide, evading paying customs taxes. Towards the end of the 19th century, it became a favorite destination for recreation of the high-class of Buenos Aires. The tour includes navigating different rivers, channels, and streams of the Delta, discovering its many isles covered with abundant subtropical vegetation, picturesque houses, rowing and yacht clubs, old residences, and wooden houses built over piles to protect them from constant floods. This makes an ideal day to relax and be in touch with nature, much contrasting with the fast-paced city.

During the afternoon, in our Zodiac boats, we will navigate between high rocky walls until reaching the Porter Glacier.

Day 7
Agostini Sound / Aguila Glaier / Condor Glacier

In the morning, we will navigate the Cockburn Channel to enter the Agostini Sound, where you can appreciate the glaciers that descend from the center of the Darwin Mountain Range, some of them reaching the sea. During the morning, we will disembark in Zodiac boats for a walk around a lagoon formed by the melting of the Aguila Glacier. In the afternoon, we will navigate in Zodiac boats to approach the Condor Glacier. We will learn about the formation of glaciers and their influence on the abrupt geography of the Fuegian channels.

Day 8
Magdalena Island / Punta Arenas

We will disembark at Magdalena Island first thing in the morning if weather conditions are suitable. On the island, we will be able to see a huge colony of Magellanic penguins. This excursion is replaced by a landing on Marta Island in September and April, where South American sea lions can be sighted from Zodiac boats. Then, we will arrive in Punta Arenas, disembarking at approximately 11:30 hrs.

Upon arrival at Punta Arenas pier, private transfer to the airport for your flight.
