After Breakfast embark on an unforgettable journey through Santiago, a vibrant city where history, culture, and modernity intertwine. Dive into the heart of Santiago’s historic downtown. Wander through the bustling Plaza de Armas, the city’s main square, surrounded by iconic landmarks such as the Metropolitan Cathedral and the grand Central Post Office. Stroll along the picturesque streets and learn about Santiago’s rich colonial and republican history. Continue to La Moneda Palace, Chile’s presidential palace and a symbol of resilience and democracy. Nearby, explore the cultural hub of Barrio Lastarria, known for its vibrant art scene, cozy cafés, and boutique shops. The tour also takes you to Cerro Santa Lucía, a lush urban hill offering stunning panoramic views of Santiago’s skyline and the majestic Andes mountains. This comprehensive city tour is the perfect introduction to Santiago, showcasing its poetic charm, historical depth, and contemporary flair.

After breakfast, we will head south to the Maipo Valley, starting our day at Haras de Pirque. This winery is renowned for its unique horseshoe-shaped design, a tribute to its historical connection with fine-blooded horse breeding. Nestled at the foothills of the majestic Andes Mountains, just 45 minutes from Santiago, Haras de Pirque features an innovative gravitational winemaking system that ensures gentle wine handling while reducing energy consumption.
Our visit begins with a warm reception on the main terrace, followed by a guided tour of the vinification and aging cellars. The experience culminates in the private wine cellar, where you’ll enjoy a tasting of four exceptional wines: Haras de Pirque Chardonnay, Hussonet Cabernet Sauvignon Gran Reserva, Galantas Cabernet Franc Gran Reserva, and Albis Red Blend Icon, each paired with perfectly selected bites.
We will then continue to the iconic Santa Rita Vineyard, located in the high Andean foothills near the town of Alto Jahuel. Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy a delightful lunch at their on-site restaurant, followed by a comprehensive tour of the winery. This includes exploring its scenic surroundings, bottling plant, and historic cellars. The visit also includes time at Santa Rita’s Museum, home to an impressive collection of pre-Columbian artifacts that provide a glimpse into the region’s rich cultural history.
After the tour and a tasting session, we will return to your hotel in Santiago, completing a memorable day in the Maipo Valley.
