Los Potreros

Enjoy the gaucho lifestyle with a stay on an authentic Argentinean cattle ranch. This family-run ranch has been welcoming guests to its estancia since 2001 and the hosts and staff are highly committed to providing guests with the best possible experience.

The ranch and guest rooms are beautifully decorated with lovely antiques, historic artifacts and regional artwork. Fireplaces keep out the evening chill and create a cozy ambiance. The maximum number of guests is 12 so privacy and tranquility are guaranteed. The food at Los Potreros is also a memorable experience as the chefs use plenty of fresh local ingredients and most of the fruit, vegetables, eggs and beef is grown or produced on the ranch. An excellent selection of local wines complements the delectable meals.  The main activity most guests enjoy is exploring the wonderful countryside on horseback. The excellent well-trained horses are ridden 'Western style', a comfortable and easy way to ride, even for the less experienced. The landscape surrounding Los Potreros is surprisingly diverse with rocky outcrops, sloping hills, hidden valleys, tumbling waterfalls and wooded trails.  The Huffington Post in 2012 included the estancia in their list of 'The Most Inspiring Horse Rides Around the World'.   Other activities include hiking, bird watching and observing life on the ranch: watch the horse trainers at work, observe a game of polo or try your hand at lassoing.
