Day 2: Mendoza
Visit to cheese & olive oil producing farm
You are greeted at the farm where special cheese, jam and olive oil are produced with the best fresh ingredients. Fruits and vegetables are grown right there and then used to prepare delicious jam. After visiting and understanding the process, you are invited to taste homemade cheese and bread with extra virgin olive oil.
Visit of Boutique & premium wineries: Matervini & Achaval Ferrer wineries
Visit this winery born in 2008. Matervini travels the long path that goes from traditional to unexplored areas, from young to old geologies and from alluvial to non-alluvial soil structures - like those of the Pre-cordillera. All along this road, wines with unique personalities emerge as different expressions of nature. After tasting their incredible wine, enjoy a picnic in their gardens.
Continue to Achaval-Ferrer Winery. Its original concept was strongly founded on the terroir, and the chosen way to make it well known was through Malbec.
Day 3: Mendoza
Enjoy a bike ride within the property surrounded by ancient vineyards and view to the Andes.
Harvest activity at sunset with hors d’ ouvres & estate produced wines
Starting as early as February with white grapes for the 19 Escalones Sauvignon blanc onto March with the Becquignol grapes for the crisp Rose finishing end of April with the Malbec and Bonarda grapes. You pick grapes with sissors and bucket in hand, accompanied by Cavas’ sommelier and other guests. Starts at 7 pm for about 1 hour. Gather all the information from one of the country’s most growing activity.
Day 4: Mendoza
Cooking class with Cavas’s chef
Prepare local dishes, harvesting previously from our vegetable garden adjacent to the restaurant. Enjoy a glass of Malbec while you cook and then taste your creation by the bomafire or restaurant.
