Day 01: Buenos Aires

Day 02: Buenos Aires

Half day classic city tour

Enjoy a three-hour sightseeing tour of Buenos Aires, a cosmopolitan city that reflects the rich heritage of the numerous immigrants that shaped Argentina’s capital. The tour starts at the historic Plaza de Mayo square, flanked by the Government House, better as the "Pink House”; the Cabildo (the old City Hall) and the Cathedral. Further south, visit the picturesque port neighborhood of La Boca with its colorful street Caminito, a pedestrian street filled with art stalls and performing artists; its unique architecture---painted in a rainbow of colors, and traditions that the influence of the European immigrants, especially Genovese sailors, who settled along these shores at the end of the 19th century. The tour continues towards San Telmo, one of the oldest and most charming neighborhoods in Buenos Aires, which has preserved most of its architectural heritage and boasts lovely cobblestone streets lined with colonial townhouses, cafes and antique shops.  Next on the tour is the upscale waterfront district of Puerto Madero and Palermo neighborhood with its elegant residences set among large grassy parks. The tour concludes in Recoleta, Buenos Aires’ most sophisticated and high-end neighborhood.

Dinner & Show Rojo Tango – (Faena Hotel & Universe)

PM departure from the hotel to Rojo Tango. Sit back and enjoy one of the best dinners and tango shows in the city, Rojo Tango at the Faena Hotel + Universe. Rojo Tango takes the audience through the history of tango, with all of its love, passion, madness and glamour. Return to hotel.

Day 03: Buenos Aires - Salta

At appropriate time, private transfer to the airport for your flight to Salta. From Salta airport, private transfer to the selected hotel. 

Half day Salta City tour 

Departure from the hotel for a panoramic sightseeing tour of picturesque Salta. Known as 'Salta, the beautiful', the city boasts a scenic location in the lovely Lerma Valley. Salta features the best-preserved colonial heritage in all of Argentina, with lovely one-story houses with traditional balconies adorned with ornate colonial-style railing. The heart of the city is 9 de Julio Square, which is framed by some of the most important buildings in the city, as well as the main hotels and many bars and restaurants. The tour includes a visit to the city’s most precious colonial gems, such as the Church and Monastery of San Francisco, rebuilt in the 18th century; the 'Cabildo and Historic Museum of the Northwest' (old seat of the vice-royalty government and later the seat of the provincial government); the San Bernardo Monastery, dating back to the late 16th century; the main gate carved in carob wood is considered a jewel of local colonial art; and the Italian-style Main Church, built in the 20th century and the final resting place of the mortal remains of the hero of the Independence Wars, General Martín Miguel de Güemes. The tour then continues to the city’s outskirts, up to San Bernardo Hill where the Monument to General Martín Miguel de Güemes stands. The viewpoint offers great views of the city and the Lerma Valley. It concludes at the colorful Craft Market with it variety of wares produced by local artisans; pottery, baskets, knitted 'barracan' fabrics, tapestries, ponchos and musical instruments. 

Day 04: Salta  Purmamarca

Full Day Purmamarca & Llamas trek 

Depart from the hotel and travel along Highway 9 to one of the beautiful area’s most striking natural landmarks: Cerro de los Siete Colores ('Seven Colored Hill’), which frames the adobe church constructed in 1648 in the main square. Take time for a stroll around the town’s main square where local vendors show off their wares, such as wood-carvings, hand-woven carpets and a wide assortment of medicinal and aromatic herbs. The tour continues to Tilcara from whose fortress the Omaguaca Indians once defended their land from the Incas and later the Spanish. The town’s historic museum contains the burial urns of mummies, as well as ancient jewelry, artifacts and utensils from the Indian civilization. We will actually make a special tour around town, in the company of a private guide and llamas as your companions. For thousands of years, humans tamed the llama to carry things, for, while llamas are not for riding, they will accompany you for and carry the picnic supplies: a great selection of fresh local foods and chilled wine. The walk is both easy and enjoyable. 

Day 05: Purmamarca - San Pedro de Atacama

At appropriate time, private transfer to Alto Atacama  Hotel.

Offering privacy, natural beauty and the tranquility of its surroundings, this impressive adobe and thatch lodge blends in with the terra-cotta ridge and curves of the Catarpe Valley. The rooms are spacious and simple yet comfortably furnished and decorated with local crafts.  Each room has a private terrace; guests are also welcome to relax in the gardens, the sun loungers at the pool or at the H2O & Spa, including a Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, Scottish showers, indoor and outdoor tubs.
